In coding, flowcharts are a key way to plan and visualize your code. In ArcGIS, there is an interactive flowchart tool called ModelBuilder where you can visualize your workflow as a flowchart and run all of the tools.
This is a model I created using ModelBuilder. By visualizing the workflow, I was able to select a suitable site for a new wastewater treatment plant that fulfilled the following conditions:
Within 1 mile of the Fort Collins city limits
Within 3,000 feet of the Cache la Poudre River
At least 300 feet from residential parcels and parks
On a vacant parcel that is bigger than 50,000 square feet
Outside the floodplain

Once I click "Run", all of the intermediate data will be created as well as the final output!
